These awards were announced live by organizer Brian Cooper and this year's judge coordinator Jon Koerber, on the main stage of the Oaktoberfest festival at 1:50 PM, on Saturday, October 1st, 2011. If you weren't there to hear us say it live, we would like to thank everyone who entered this year. Special thanks go out to all of the judges, stewards, and staff who helped out with the judging (held separately on Saturday, September 24th, 2011) as well as to our hosts, the HopYard Alehouse in Pleasanton, CA. We know that many hours of hard work and effort were put in by the Oaktoberfest festival committee, and we congratulate them for yet another successful year organizing this phenomenal event. Also, thanks to Hoptech for sponsoring the homebrew alley, and to all the members of our club and other clubs who came out to share their enthusiasm for the craft and pour their homebrewed beers at our booth. We were glad to see so many of you were able to join us at the Oaktoberfest festival! Lastly, our special thanks to the hard-working over-achiever Mad Zymurgists who put on such an excellent homebrew demo this year - Dean, Clay, and Steve -- great job, guys!
We couldn't have done it without everyone's help and participation. Watch our website for announcements about next year's competition and festival -- you won't want to miss it!
